That's awesome! Just to confirm, will it work with Construct's native 3D Model object and return the HitObjectUID of the clicked model? If so, I'll definitely buy the plugin.
What you need is a standard raycast and this behavior will provide it for you now because I added the option to shoot in place of the cursor, Player.Laser3D.HitObjectUID allows you to read the UID. i updated behavior to version 1.0.0.1 in new options in properties
use this Condition and action
The mirror will not transmit its UID because it reflects the beam

Hi! I found a small bug with Laser3D 1.0.0.4.
The raycast works perfectly when I start a layout, but after changing to another layout, Laser3D stops detecting objects completely.
I checked the addon and tested a small modification: resetting
Laser3D_3dLayerCachewhen changing layouts. That completely fixed the issue. The raycast now keeps working normally after switching layouts.
It looks like
Laser3D_3dLayerCachekeeps the 3D layer from the previous layout instead of refreshing it for the new one.Just wanted to let you know in case you want to include the fix in the next version.
Maybe in another layout lasser is on another layer? Or objects for detection have another different layer? Please check this and let me know
I checked that, but the layers don't seem to be the issue.
I tested the original 1.0.0.4 and the raycast stops working after changing layouts.
Then I tested the exact same project with only one modification to Laser3D: resetting
Laser3D_3dLayerCachewhen changing layouts. That immediately fixed the problem, and Laser3D now works correctly across all my layouts.
So it seems the cached 3D layer from the previous layout is the cause.
please download v1.0.0.5
Hi!
I'm making a 3D game in Construct 3 using the native 3D Camera and 3D Model object.
Is it possible to cast the ray from the mouse cursor position instead of only from the center of the screen?
I would like to click directly on 3D Models and retrieve the HitObjectUID of the clicked object.
If not, is this planned for a future update?
Thanks!
i can add Cast from mouse cursor option

Thank you so much!
I'll give that a try on my side!
